This book presents the outcome of a long and fruitful investigation of the archaeological mission of the University of Tokyo, directed by Yoshio Onuki and carried out with the active participation of the town of Kuntur Wasi, in the province of San Pablo, Cajamarca. Yoshio Onuki discovers both the first example of ceremonial Metallurgy in America, which kicks off the jewelry of the Andean civilization, as also the first ceremonial center in the sierra norte of the Peruvian Andes stone.
